This is my go to dispensary. The staff and security is so helpful. They always have my favorite products in stock and I have noticed that they have at least one of “everything”. Most types of vape cartridges and a full range of flower in addition to an interesting rotation of newer edible, beverage, and tincture products. I haven’t dabbled in their concentrate selection but I have no doubts the staff would make excellent recommendations.

I went to Farmacy for the first time yesterday and I cannot say enough good things about them. I was absolutely blown away by how incredibly knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and helpful the staff was. I was looking for something that could support my physical and mental health and not necessarily get me high. They had SO MANY options for me, they answered all my questions and explained everything so clearly. I love all the products I have tried so far and can't wait to go back and get more. WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT FOR WEED IN BERKELEY?
The Farmacy Berkeley is an adult-use cannabis retail store. This means anyone with a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport, proving they’re at least 21 years of age can purchase products here.
However, a patient who is under 21 but at least 18 years old may enter and purchase cannabis if they have a state medical card or verified medical recommendation. First-time medical customers must bring a paper copy of their medical recommendation. No screenshots please!
HOW CAN I PAY FOR FARMACY BERKELEY WEED?
Farmacy Berkeley accepts cash payments, debit transactions, and cashless prepay powered by Jane Pay. Debit transactions will be accompanied by a $3.00 transaction fee. Some banks may charge their cardholders an additional fee in accordance with their own policies.
Unfortunately, due to federal regulations, we cannot accept credit cards. We hope this will change in the next few years.
HOW MUCH WILL I PAY IN TAXES WHEN I BUY CANNABIS AT THE FARMACY BERKELEY?
When we talk about taxes on cannabis sales, there are three different types:
Cannabis State Excise Tax – The cannabis state excise tax is imposed upon purchase of all cannabis and cannabis products at a rate of 15% of the Taxable Excise Total *see below for formula. Retailers are responsible for collecting the cannabis excise tax from purchasers at the time of the retail sale and pay the cannabis excise tax to the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA).
City Tax – Berkeley does not have a city tax on cannabis.
Sales Tax – Nearly all products in California are subject to a general sales tax, and cannabis is no exception. While the excise tax is the same no matter where you buy, the sales tax varies depending on your city or county. MMIC holders are exempt from sales tax on medical products. Per the CDTFA, sales tax is calculated after delivery fees (if applicable), local city tax and 15% cannabis state excise tax has been added to your purchase.
Farmacy Berkeley’s Tax Formula:
- Purchase Total + Delivery Fees (if applicable) = Taxable Excise Total
- Taxable Excise Total + 15% Cannabis State Excise Tax= Subtotal
- Subtotal + 10.25% Sales Tax = FINAL COST

HOW MUCH CANNABIS CAN I PURCHASE?
California’s legal limits on cannabis purchases are applied to two different use types. Adult use is for any recreational consumer 21+. Medicinal use applies to cannabis purchased by someone 18 or older with a medical card or physician’s recommendation. When purchasing cannabis, the following limits will apply:
- Adult Use: 28.5 grams for flowers & 8 grams for concentrates.
- Medicinal: 8 ounces of cannabis—dried flower or concentrated plant conversion.
CAN I ORDER AHEAD AND PICKUP IN-STORE?
Yes, you can order online through our website and pick up your items at the Berkeley location. Your purchase will typically be ready for pickup within 15 minutes.
CAN I HAVE MY CANNABIS DELIVERED TO ME?
Yes, in addition to picking up at the store, customers of the Farmacy Berkeley can have their cannabis delivered to their location. ORDER ONLINE
CAN I USE CANNABIS AT FARMACY BERKELEY?
No, consumption is not allowed on-site at this time. In addition, you cannot use, smoke, eat, or vape adult-use cannabis in public places.
It is also against the law for you to have an open container of cannabis in a vehicle while driving or riding in the passenger seat. It is illegal to smoke cannabis in an operating vehicle. Be safe. Be smart.
IS THERE PARKING AT THE FARMACY BERKELEY?
Parking is limited to the surrounding residential areas at the Berkeley location. We strive to be good neighbors and ask that you be careful not to block driveways or double-park when visiting our location.
