Her continued clay studies, residencies, and travels have led her to ceramic studios throughout the world influencing her perspective and knowledge of ceramic techniques and associated clay cultures. Veronica was a member artist and teacher at the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY.  She taught at various community centers and camps throughout the NYC area as well as 6-12 grade ceramics for 9 years at Trevor Day School in Manhattan and more recently at Dunn School and Solvang Middle School in the Santa Ynez Valley of CA. In 2020, she founded Community Clayworks, an inclusive ceramics studio in Buellton, CA. In 2022 the Los Angeles Regional Small Business Development Coalition and Economic Development Collaborative highlighted Community Clayworks as a success story.

Cannabis social equity programs provide grants, preferential treatment, and assistance to applicants in obtaining a commercial cannabis license. The goal of social equity programs is to ensure that people from communities disproportionately harmed by cannabis prohibition and discriminatory law enforcement are included in the legal cannabis industry.

Tiana Woodruff grew up in one of the lowest-income zip codes in LA and witnessed the war on drugs and the disproportionate impact it had on her friends, family, and neighbors firsthand. When patients first get their medical recommendations and visit a dispensary, for many, it’s an overwhelming experience. With so many resources available, it’s hard to determine where to start. Whole Plant Access for Autism (WPA4A) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to educate families about the possible benefits of cannabis for autism. Founded in 2016, WPAA works with families all over the world who have a loved one with autism spectrum disorder. These families either do not want to use pharmaceuticals or have tried multiple pharmaceuticals with little or no success in treating some of the most difficult symptoms of autism, such as self-injury, aggression towards loved ones, severe insomnia, cognitive impairment, and communication difficulties.

WPAA believes that education is key to helping families find success with cannabis for autism symptom management. Working with like-minded organizations and doctors, WPAA works to bring awareness to others about alternatives that can help so many.

Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) is an uncommon but serious condition found in a small portion of regular, long-term cannabis users. CHS was only first formally described by researchers in 2004 and is still not widely known about. This syndrome typically presents as chronic gastrointestinal symptoms highlighted by intense bouts of vomiting and abdominal pain. These symptoms can be severe and can last for hours or days and frequently recur every couple of months. Cases of CHS are on the rise and it still isn’t clear why some heavy cannabis users get the syndrome, but others don’t.

His cause was championed by Senators Cory Booker & Mike Lee, celebrities, and leading news organizations like the Washington Post & Rolling Stone magazine, which led to an early release in 2016 after serving 13 years of his 55-year sentence. Since his release, Weldon has become a leading activist working to end cannabis prohibition and reform our federal criminal justice system.

As the baby boomer population ages, the total number of people with dementia will undoubtedly rise. Estimates vary, but experts report that in 2020 more than 7 million people aged 65 or older are living with dementia.

With so many people and families living with the disease scientists are just now beginning to study the use of cannabis to treat the symptoms and behavioral issues associated with dementia. A few clinical trials, and many personal accounts, have identified that cannabis can help manage behavioral symptoms in people with dementia, including agitation and aggression. Cannabis can also help those living with dementia maintain regular sleep and increase their appetite.

Tilling the soil or tillage is the conventional way of farming where mechanical agitation is used to prep soil with large discs and tractors.
