WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT FOR WEED IN ORANGE COUNTY?

As an adult-use cannabis dispensary in Santa Ana, clients 21+ with a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport, can purchase products here.

An individual under 21 but over 18 may also enter and purchase cannabis with a state medical card or verified medical recommendation. If it is your first time buying at our Santa Ana location, bring a paper copy of the recommendation. No screenshots, please!

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY PURCHASE AT THE DISPENSARY?

We accept payments in cash, debit card, and cashless prepay powered by Jane Pay. Debit transactions will be accompanied by a $3.00 transaction fee, and some banks may charge an additional fee in accordance with their own policies.

Unfortunately, due to federal regulations, we cannot accept credit card payments yet. We hope this will change in the next few years.

HOW MUCH WILL I PAY IN TAXES WHEN I BUY CANNABIS AT FARMACY SANTA ANA?

When we talk about taxes on cannabis sales, we’re talking about three different tax types:

Cannabis State Excise Tax – The cannabis state excise tax is imposed upon purchasers of all cannabis and cannabis products at a rate of 15% of the Taxable Excise Total *see below for formula. Retailers are responsible for collecting the cannabis excise tax from purchasers at the time of the retail sale and pay the cannabis excise tax to the CDTFA.

City Tax – 5% for MMIC Card Holders and 7% for all other Adult Use/Recreational Purchases

Sales Tax – Nearly all products in California are subject to a general sales tax, and cannabis is no exception. While the excise tax is the same no matter where you buy, sales tax varies depending on your city or county. Medical Marijuana Identification Card (MMIC) holders are exempt from sales tax on medical products.  Per the CDTFA, Sales tax is calculated after delivery fees (if applicable), local city tax and 15% cannabis state excise tax has been added to your purchase.

Farmacy Santa Ana’s Tax Formula:

Purchase Total + 7% City Tax (or 5% for MMIC) + Delivery Fees (if applicable) = Taxable Excise Total

Taxable Excise Total + 15% Cannabis State Excise Tax= Subtotal

Subtotal + 9.25% Sales Tax = FINAL COST

HOW MUCH CANNABIS I CAN PURCHASE?

California’s legal limits on cannabis purchases are applied to two different use types—Adult-use for anyone 21+, and Medicinal use, which applies to cannabis purchased by someone with a medical card or physician’s recommendation and who may be 18 or older.

• Adult-Use (Flower – 28.5 grams & Concentrates – 8 grams)
• Medicinal (8 ounces of cannabis – dried flower or concentrated plant conversion)

CAN I ORDER AHEAD AND PICKUP IN-STORE?

Yes! Simply order online through our website, and your order will be ready for pick up at the dispensary in Santa Ana within 15 minutes at the store. 

CAN I HAVE MY CANNABIS DELIVERED TO ME?

Yes! You can take advantage of our delivery service and have your cannabis delivered to your location from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Sunday. The orders must have a minimum subtotal of $75 after any discounts or reward redemptions. ORDER ONLINE

CAN I USE CANNABIS AT FARMACY SANTA ANA?

No, consumption is not allowed at the dispensary. According to California law, you cannot use, smoke, eat, or vape adult-use cannabis in public places or vehicles. You may use cannabis safely on private property.  Be safe. Be smart.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE FARMACY?

There is available parking adjacent to our location. As we strive to be a good neighbor, we ask that you be careful not to block driveways, use other local businesses’ parking, or double-park when visiting our dispensary.

The store formerly known as Bud and Bloom is now The Farmacy Santa Ana! The name has changed, but our goal to offer premium products and advocate for the benefits of cannabis remains the same.
